Beautiful Lakeside Home in Grand Lake - Thoughtfully Designed and Completely Renovated

Known as The Lakehouse and fully renovated in 2023, this home is a mix of contemporary design with a warm, cozy vibe and a modern, mountain aesthetic. Sitting on a quiet, no-wake zone just past the channel between Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake this home offers unobstructed views, a private dock and a lakeside deck perfect for a warm fire near the water.

The home was totally reimagined down to the studs - everything is new including electric panel, wiring and lighting. Featuring Shou Sugi Ban exterior siding, this Japanese charred wood is known for its elegance and easy maintenance.

The thoughtful redesign prioritizes unobstructed accesss to the lake and 90 ft of shoreline. A 1000 sq ft of decking doubles the entertaining space and includes a spiral staircase and rinse-off outdoor shower. Three outdoor radiant ceiling heaters create three season enjoyment. Inside, the home has floor-to-ceiling doors & windows, brick floors, shiplap walls, reclaimed wide-plank oak floors with radiant heat throughout and reclaimed wood beams.

The mudroom entry sits next to a tucked-away office. The living room has a gas fireplace and French sliding doors to the deck. The dining room and bar have lake views. Nearby, the kitchen hosts custom cabinets and new appliances. Wake up to lake views in the primary suite with vaulted ceiling, modern stove, built-ins, double closets and en suite bath. A guest room and hallway bath complete the main floor.

The lake level features a large family room. With views and lake access, it's a great gathering place or media room. Nearby the custom-built bunk room sleeps 6 and the bath has double sinks and walk-in shower. The lake level also has a non-conforming bedroom; storage closet; laundry/utility; mud entry; and more storage.

Sold fully furnished, it’s a mix of modern sofas, vintage antiques and custom-made pieces. This is a home with a point-of-view you’ll not find anywhere else – a sense of curated style with an easy-to-love yet sophisticated sensibility.

Grand Lake, CO & Rocky Mountain National Park

Grand Lake is the largest natural lake in Colorado with an elevation of almost 9,000 feet. The town of Grand Lake sits on its shoreline. Known as the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, the town and lake are beloved for their stunning beauty, vintage architecture, wooden sidewalks and warm, welcoming nature.

The Colorado River originates in the Never Summer Mountain Range just north of Grand Lake.  The snowfall from that range creates an abundance of rivers and lakes in Grand County including Granby Reservoir, Shadow Mountain Reservoir and Grand Lake.  It's a paradise for wildlife not to mention outdoor enthusiasts.  Many visit just to hear elk bugle, watch bald eagles soar, cast their line into a quiet river or just sit in wonder gazing at Mt. Craig - affectionately known as Baldy.

Grand Lake is connected to Shadow Mountain by a short channel making for quick navigation between the two bodies of water. Just past the arched bridge, the channel is host to homes, docks and boat houses. In the summer, it's a favorite spot for party barges, kayaks and paddleboards.

The Lakehouse, sitting at 366 Lakeside Drive, is just a few homes from the channel and enjoys quick access by water to the town of Grand Lake. Public docks make it easy to take a boat drive into town for morning coffee, afternoon shopping, a quick ice cream cone or a leisurely evening dinner.

The town of Grand Lake is full of locally owned stores and restaurants as well as outdoor cafes, miniature golf, marinas for boat rentals and several parks for picnics. Summer brings art festivals, July 4 fireworks, sailboat regattas, bingo in the park and outdoor music concerts.  Winter brings ice fishing and pond hockey tournaments, skijoring and horses, snowshoeing in the park, snowmobiling in Arapahoe State Forest and skiing in nearby Winter Park and Granby.

With four seasons of enjoyment, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park attract guests from across the world.  For those lucky enough to own a home here, every season promises many visits from family and friends.  It's the perfect place for making colorful Colorado memories.
